Lady Gaga‘s flair for dramatic fashion has been well-documented, and since we first learned that she’d be starring in the forthcoming (and third) “A Star Is Born” remake, we’ve been anticipating her accompanying press tour and the looks that would come with it. On Monday evening, she attended the Los Angeles premiere of the film, and damn, did she deliver. For the occasion, she chose a custom Givenchy Haute Couture silver gown, which she paired with a matching silver lace embroidered cape and silver platform sandals (also by Givenchy) and a diamond necklace and earrings (by Bulgari).

Designed by Clare Waight Keller and styled by Sandra Amador, the look is about as glamorous as it gets — but it’s also a not-so-subtle nod to Barbra Streisand‘s 1976 adaptation of the film. In the scene during which her character accepts a Grammy Award, she wears a silver dress and cape, not unlike Gaga’s, which Streisand in fact designed herself.
