SAN DIEGO (AP) — Used U.S. national crew and MLS megastar Landon Donovan is coming out of retirement again, this time to play for the San Diego Sockers of the Well-known Enviornment Soccer League.
Donovan, 36, signed a contract Wednesday and might just be launched Thursday.
He’ll blueprint his debut on Feb. 15 when the Sockers host the Tacoma Stars. The crew says he’ll play all home matches, a fetch aspect street agenda and all playoff matches.
Donovan was as soon as share of a community that backed a failed November pollmeasure that would enjoy redeveloped the sphere of the metropolis’s football stadium and produce an MLS crew to San Diego.
