The Fresh England Patriots don’t appear to be giving up on Josh Gordon.
NFL Community’s Tom Pelissero reported that the Patriots gave Gordon a low restricted soft value $2.025 million.
The Boston Globe first reported the tips, noting that the Pats would earn a 2nd-round steal in return if a crew signed the receiver far off from Fresh England — a switch that is still a longshot given his suspension history. Gordon become a 2nd-round steal of the Cleveland Browns in 2012.
Gordon remains suspended indefinitely all every other time by the NFL for his latest violation of the league’s substance abuse protection.
If Gordon gains reinstatement all every other time — a gigantic hurdle he aloof must face — it appears the talented but alarmed receiver remains within the Patriots plans for 2019.
The Pats also positioned a 2nd-round soft ($3.095 million) on former undrafted corner Jonathan Jones, per Pelissero.
