Police officer dies in traffic crash; other driver arrested

BATAVIA, Ohio (AP) — Authorities declare an SUV crossed the heart line of an Ohio freeway and collided with a vehicle pushed by an off-accountability police officer who used to be killed in the head-on fracture.

The Suppose Dual carriageway Patrol says Officer Jerrid Lee of the Clearcreek Township Police Division died on the scene of the collision that occurred round 8:30 p.m. Monday on Suppose Route 125 in Batavia Township.

The patrol unlock says the SUV used to be pushed by 31-365 days-veteran Justin Watts and drug impairment is suspected as a contributing remark in the fracture. The unlock says Watts declined medical therapy.

Clerrmont County Municipal Courtroom records demonstrate the Cincinnati man used to be arrested on a cost of aggravated vehicular end. Courtroom records don’t demonstrate an attorney for Watts.

Officials declare an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
