BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — A community of Vermont excessive college students backed by a highly efficient conservative Christian upright organization is accusing the instruct of non secular discrimination.
The unnamed students, backed by attorneys from the Alliance Defending Freedom, deliver they wished to remove college lessons beneath Vermont’s Twin Enrollment program, but had been excluded because they relieve a Catholic excessive college. The Burlington Free Press reviews Vermont Secretary of Education, who is known as as a defendant, declined to comment Tuesday.
Eligible excessive college students can remove college lessons and delight in it paid for by the instruct beneath the 2013 program. Then again, the Vermont Supreme Court ruled in 1999 that the use of public cash to pay tuition to deepest non secular colleges violates the instruct structure’s non secular freedom clause.
