Vikings re-sign kicker Dan Bailey to one-year deal

The Minnesota Vikings are conserving their primitive kicker for one other season.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday that the Vikings re-signed Dan Bailey to a one-one year, $1 million contract, per a offer advised of the deal. The pact is price a max of $2 million with incentives. The handiest guarantee in Bailey’s deal is $250,000 of his unhealthy salary, per Pelissero.
Bailey joined the Vikings in mid-September final season after the team of workers jettisoned rookie Daniel Carlson.
The 31-one year-used Bailey converted 21 of 28 topic function attempts, with a long of 52 yards, and 30 of 31 additional level attempts in 14 video games in 2018. The earlier Dallas Cowboys kicker is coming off the two worst seasons of his profession, netting 75 p.c of his topic dreams every of the previous two years.
Minnesota has struggled with their kicking direct for years, but with the low-guarantee deal for Bailey, Mike Zimmer’s squad will follow a primitive kicker who currently sits No. 5 all-time in topic function rate (86.6 p.c).
Here is other free agency info we’re monitoring Tuesday:

2. The Seahawks reached a tackle linebacker Mychal Kendricks, who faces an April 4 sentencing date stemming from his insider shopping and selling conviction, final week, and Pelissero has the small print on the settlement:

No guarantees on the #Seahawks’ 1-one year, $4.5 million tackle LB Mychal Kendricks, who’s facing April 4 sentencing in his insider shopping and selling case. He’d win $250K for reporting to camp, $250K if on Week 1 roster, $125K for every sport active, $2M unhealthy salary, up to $1M in incentives.— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero)
